Tulla Traditional Music Festival
 

Tulla Traditional Music Festival 12 – 14th September 2008

The Tulla Traditional Music Festival 2008 promises to be even bigger and better that our 50 year celebration Festival last year. Our Guest of Honour for the weekend is legendary fiddle player Liz Carroll who will be travelling from the United States. The highlight of the weekend will be our ‘Masters in Town’ Concert which will take place on Saturday night 13th Sept in St. Peter and Paul’s Church Tulla at 8pm. This concert will feature the musicians and singers who are conducting our Workshops and Master Classes this year and include Joe Burke, Ann Conroy Burke, Matt Molloy, John Carty, Arty McGlynn, Mary Bergin, Kathleen Loughnane, Máire Ní Chealachair, Nora Butler, Geraldine Cotter, Tommy Hayes, Mick O’Brien, of course Liz Carroll, our own Masters Paddy Canny and Vincent Griffin and the Tulla Céili Band.



Crinniu na mBad, Kinvarra
  Cruinniu na mBad, meaning "Gathering of the Boats", is a festival held in August each year, which brings us back in time, to when the majestic Galway Hookers used to transport turf/peat to Kinvara.

Fleadh na gCuach
  Fleadh na gCuach, meaning "The Cuckoo Festival" is a Traditional Irish Music Festival held on the May Bank Holiday Weekend.

Lisdoonvarna Matchmaking Festival
  The MatchMaking Festival during September each year. It is mainly concentrated at the weekends but there is also music and dancing during the week.
